Vacation Hide Away
Anderson Island, WA
We built our home and retired on Anderson Island 2004. Bill worked in Public service for Clackamas County, Oregon for over thirty years and served in the Army and Army reserves for over thirty years as well. Catherine worked for a large corporation for several years, and then a large non-profit organization. We love retirement, and never get bored!
We have kayaked for about fifteen years and especially enjoy Puget Sound and the Gulf Islands of Canada.
As our contribution to our island community, we both serve as volunteers on the Anderson Island Fire Department. Bill is a firefighter and a member of the rescue boat crew. Catherine is an EMT and helps with fundraising for the Firefighters Association.
We have four adult children and four grandchildren. All of this keeps us busy but we do fit in a little time for hobbies; Bill making Victorian lampshades and beautiful leaded glass windows; and Catherine sewing and quilting.
If that's not enough, there are always the local events and activities that we share with the wonderful folks on the Island. It's a friendly place - so don't forget to wave!
